Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. is seeking a CNC technician to set up and operate a CNC Turret press, edit programs, maintain tooling, and assist in training operators. The role focuses on producing high-quality parts in a timely manner and performing preventive maintenance on CNC machines.

The candidate will follow work instructions, test equipment and products to blueprint specifications, and ensure first piece sign-off. ISO procedures and continuous improvement through AI tools are encouraged.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• 1–3 years experience in metal fabrication.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and computer by following machine setup sheets.
• Test and inspect equipment.
• Test and inspect product to blueprint specifications.
• Inspect product for compliance to requirements and sign-off for first piece approval.
• Document and record all work in the work cell.
• Perform preventative maintenance of CNC machines.
• Train others in respective work cell to assure quality parts.
• Comply with ISO policies and procedures.
