Job summary

AMETEK is seeking a skilled CNC Operator in Indiana to set up and operate a CNC Turret press, edit programs, maintain tooling, and train operators. You will ensure high-quality parts, follow work instructions, and perform preventive maintenance. The role supports production efficiency and quality within an ISO environment.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in metal fabrication, reads blueprints, and works well under supervision with a team. The position is on-site with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• 1–3 years experience in metal fabrication.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Work with minimal supervision.
• Team oriented.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate CNC Turret press, editing of programs, tooling maintenance, assist in the training of operators and the use of associated computer equipment.
• Produce good quality parts in a timely manner.
• Perform preventive maintenance of CNC machines.
• Test and inspect equipment to blueprint specifications.
• Inspect product for compliance and sign-off for first piece approval.
• Document and record all work in the work cell.
• Comply with ISO policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate ability to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, and reduce costs.
