Job summary

Barber-Nichols in Colorado is seeking an experienced machinist to set up and operate manual and CNC machines, including 2-axis lathes and 3- to 5-axis mills. You will stage materials and manage tooling to meet tight schedules and quality targets.

Four+ years in ISO/AS/MIL STD environments required; overtime may be needed. Night shift offers a 15% pay differential. Compensation ranges reflect base pay plus potential bonuses.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Four or more years of machine tool setup and operation in ISO/AS/MIL STD prototype/job shop environments.
• Able to work overtime when required.
• Experience reading complex documentation and verbal/written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual machine tools to support CNC operations.
• Set up and operate 2-axis CNC horizontal and VTL lathes; additionally set up and operate 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC mills as required.
• Organize, stage, and move materials to meet schedule and quality objectives.
• Evaluate and requisition purchased tooling and supplies.
