Job summary

Westfall Technik in Wakefield, MI is seeking a CNC Turning Operator on 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 3:00pm-11:00pm). You will run the CNC lathe, coordinate inspections, and ensure scheduled tasks are completed.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, general machining experience, strong mechanical aptitude, good teamwork and communication skills. We offer holidays, 401K, and comprehensive benefits.

• Run/Operate the CNC lathe.
• Coordinate/review inspection of finished blocks with quality.
• Perform turning tasks and maintain paperwork.
• Suggest improvements for equipment, software, and training.
• Maintain department housekeeping and organization.

We are currently seeking CNC Turning Operator, with the below qualifications:

2nd Shift: Monday- Friday, 3:00pm- 11:00pm

Professional Attributes

• Run/Operate the CNC lathe
• Coordinate/review all inspection of finished blocks internally (In-Machine) and with quality department as needed
• Problem solving for all turning related tasks as needed
• All turning paperwork organized at program completion
• Maintain and advise lead of all needed repairs on the machinery
• Ensure all scheduled operations/tasks are complete
• Work to the department workload schedule
• Update the schedule as tasks are completed or their status changed
• Mark as ready for the next operation in the next department if applicable
• Make suggestions for equipment, software, training, and resources that would make the department more efficient
• Responsible for Department Housekeeping, Cleanliness, and Organization as required

Desired Skills and Experience

• Proven ability to work in a team environment
