Job summary

Hanwha Aerospace USA is seeking a CNC Machinist 1 - Turning for our Cheshire, CT facility. The role focuses on turning operations, reading blueprints, and ensuring parts meet exact tolerances.

The position runs on the first shift, Monday through Friday, with standard manufacturing duties and strict quality control. A U.S. Person with ITAR eligibility and aerospace experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Person and able to work with ITAR data.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1+ years of experience as a CNC Machinist; aerospace experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Machine parts to specifications using lathes and related tools.
• Work from blueprints, engineering instructions and specifications.
• Setup, adjust and operate CNC machines and related tools for precision machining.
• Align and secure fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and materials on machines.
• Check parts for lubrication, cooling, and proper operation.
• Measure and test completed units using micrometers and other precision instruments.
