Job summary

Steelcrest Precision is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to program, set up, and operate lathes, mills, and grinders in a precision shop environment in Ohio. You will verify tolerances, read blueprints, and ensure high-quality parts with minimal scrap.

Strong GD&T, G-code, and tooling knowledge are essential. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of CNC experience, can read blueprints, and will participate in setup and production documentation while maintaining safety and efficiency on the shop

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years CNC machining experience.
Experience running CNC mills and/or lathes (Mazak, UMC, Haas).
GD&T understanding and experience.
Experience with setup and programming.
Experience reading, writing, and editing G-code.
Ability to perform quality checks.
Knowledge and use of specialty tooling.
Strong math abilities and ability to read blueprints.

Responsibilities

Program and machine parts according to blueprints, drawings, and layouts.
Setup, operate, and disassemble lathes, mills, and/or grind machines.
Verify dimensions, size, shapes, and tolerances of workpieces.
Align, secure, and adjust cutting tools and workpieces.
Turn, mill, drill, shape, and grind parts to specifications.
Complete required purchase requisitions, inspection sheets, and production sheets.
Clean and deburr parts, work area, and machine tools.
Identify questions or concerns for customers.
Complete high-quality work, on time, and with minimal scrap and rework (Complete 5 Whys when appropriate).
