Job summary
Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to program, operate and optimize CNC equipment. You will read blueprints, set up tools, verify tolerances, and ensure output meets specifications. The role requires strong math, CAD/CAM understanding, and daily equipment maintenance.
The position emphasizes toolpathing proficiency, precision measurement, and adherence to safety standards in a fast-paced shop environment.
Qualifications
- Toolpathing knowledge is required.
- Experience operating CNC machines and using precision measurement tools.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and documents.
- Basic programming with understanding of CAD/CAM concepts.
- Mechanical aptitude and strong math skills.
- Knowledge of VCarve/AlphaCam is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform cutting, drilling, milling tasks.
- Read blueprints and drawings to understand specifications and tolerances.
- Translate instructions into machine commands (programming, tool paths).
- Load raw materials and parts onto machines and run test cycles.
- Set machines to complete full cycles and fabricate parts.
- Supervise operations and adjust processes to improve results.
- Inspect finished products and verify conformance to requirements.
- Conduct daily maintenance checks on machinery.
- Read drawings and follow project requirements; ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain cut files for reuse and manage cutting bit inventory.
