Job summary

Trident Maritime Systems - Heavy Equipment Group in Rhinelander, WI is seeking a CNC Support Technician to help run the CNC shop by managing tooling inventory, organizing materials, and operating support equipment.

You will ensure machinists have the tooling, materials, and resources needed for efficient production while upholding safety and organized workflows; strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Five years of machining or related experience preferred.
• Experience with tooling inventory management preferred.
• Ability to read setup sheets and work orders.
• Experience operating a tool presetter (Kelch or equivalent).
• Mechanical aptitude and strong organizational skills.
• Effective communication with production personnel and vendors.
• Basic computer and inventory recordkeeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean tool crib and shop area.
• Manage tooling inventory, track withdrawals and returns.
• Operate tooling setup equipment and shop support gear.
• Coordinate tooling purchases and repairs with vendors.
• Assist with budget tracking and invoicing.
• Maintain accurate tooling inventory records and stock levels.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.
