Job summary

Kansas City National Security Campus (KCNSC) is seeking a Tool Maker to support a wide range of tooling, fixtures and gages. You will design, fabricate, assemble and repair parts, collaborating with engineering to ensure safety, quality and precision.

This role requires reading blueprints, GD&T and CAD files while using MasterCAM for CNC programming and setup. You may work across 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts and will follow all safety and environment rules, contributing to production improvements and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain DOE 'Q' clearance.
• Tool and Die Certificate or machining training with 2+ years CNC experience.
• If uncertified: five years’ experience in similar roles.
• Ability to read blueprints, CAD drawings, GD&T and schematics; MasterCAM experience.
• Proficient with precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Be flexible to work across 1st–3rd shift as needed.
• Plan, fabricate, assemble, repair parts, tools, fixtures, gages, dies.
• Assist in production with start-up procedures and troubleshooting.
• Use equipment and tools as required; verify conformance to specs.
• Read blueprints and CAD drawings; inspect parts for quality.
• Follow safety and environmental requirements per policy.
