Job summary

Kansas City National Security Campus (KCNSC) seeks a skilled machinist to set up and operate lathe, mill, grinder and related equipment in a high-precision production environment. You will work from prints and specs, maintain quality and tooling, and ensure safe, efficient machining on complex parts.

Qualified candidates have machine tool technology certification or 2+ years of machining experience, can read GD&T drawings, and are comfortable using MasterCam, CAD/CAM, and MS Office tools.

Qualifications

• Must have US citizenship and be able to obtain/maintain DOE Q clearance.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work any shift.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates lathe, mill, grinder and related equipment as per shop practices.
• Interprets prints/specs; maintains close tolerances and quality.
• Maintains tooling, measuring devices, and conducts setup/run for multiple machines.
• Works with GD&T drawings and MasterCam programming for production parts.
