Job summary

Staff Management | SMX is seeking a skilled CNC Technician to support our machining operations in Geneva, IL. You will set up lathes, mills, and CNC equipment, use calibrated gauging tools, and ensure quality and safety standards are met on every production run.

You'll read blueprints and process specs, document tool life data, troubleshoot issues, and assist with preventive maintenance. The role is 1st shift, 6:30 am–3:00 pm, with overtime as required. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Pre-hire math and mechanical aptitude test completed.
• Minimum 3 years of lathe and mill setup experience.
• 5+ years in a manufacturing environment with CNC equipment operation.
• Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled CNC Technician to support our machining operations by setting up tooling for lathes, machining centers, and CNC equipment. This role ensures high-quality production through accurate machine setup, troubleshooting, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Duties

• Set up machines, including calibrated gauging and chucking equipment.

Position Requirements

• Successful completion of a pre-hire math and mechanical aptitude test.




• Minimum 3 years of lathe and mill setup experience.




• At least 5 years in a manufacturing environment, including CNC equipment operation (Fanuc experience preferred).




• Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Requirements: Background Check, Drug Test, Must be at least 18 years old.Able to Lift 60 pounds., required education: HS Diploma or GED.
