Job summary

Huyett in Minneapolis, KS is seeking an Experienced CNC Swiss Lathe Machinist for a full-time position. The role involves setting up and operating CNC Swiss lathes, generating CNC programs, and providing coaching to other operators. Candidates must have at least 5 years of CNC programming experience, preferably with Fanuc controls, and a high school diploma.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate multiple CNC Swiss lathes, including generating CNC programs and installing appropriate tools.
• Use CAD software as necessary to assist in program generation.
• Edit programs to maximize throughput, reduce tooling expenses, and manage chip buildup.
• Give detailed instructions and coaching to less experienced machine operators.
• Interface with Sales and MFG teams to quote new items per-print while optimizing raw material selection.
• Produce parts that meet company and customer standards with tight tolerances.

• Starting pay: $23.50 - $29.50 per hour plus bonuses

Shift & Hours

• 1st Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:00am – 2:30pm
• Opportunities for overtime available

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate multiple CNC Swiss lathes, including generating CNC programs and installing appropriate tools
• Use CAD software as necessary to assist in program generation
• Edit programs to maximize throughput, reduce tooling expenses, and manage chip buildup
• Give detailed instructions and coaching to less experienced machine operators
• Interface with Sales and MFG teams to quote new items per-print while optimizing raw material selection
• Work from certified part drawings, use precision measuring instruments to check machine positioning, inspect finished parts, and record results on SPC charts
• Produce parts that meet company and customer standards with tight tolerances
• Work procedures and products are subject to check and inspection under supervision

Physical Requirements

Work Environment
