Job summary

Professional Placement Services is seeking an Advanced CNC Programmer / Technical Lead for a first-shift, direct-hire role with a growing manufacturer in Kentucky. The position focuses on driving programming excellence, optimizing machining processes, mentoring operators, and supporting automation initiatives.

You will lead the creation and optimization of CNC programs, troubleshoot issues, and improve efficiency while serving as the go-to technical expert in the machining department.

Qualifications

• Strong CNC programming background required.
• Advanced G-code knowledge required.
• Experience with CAM software (Mastercam, Fusion 360, GibbsCAM, Esprit, HyperMill or similar).
• Strong setup, fixturing, tooling, and troubleshooting experience.
• Leadership or mentoring experience preferred.
• Experience with Haas, Mazak, Brother, Fanuc or similar controls is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create and optimize CNC programs for production machining.
