Hitachi Energy USA Inc. in Alamo, Tennessee seeks a Machinist Team Lead to guide setup, operation and optimization of advanced CNC equipment in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment. You will support production of highly engineered transformer components and help the team work safely while meeting schedules.

Qualifications

• 5+ years CNC machine shop experience.
• Experience with multi-axis turn-mill machining.
• Ability to read blueprints and apply GD&T.
• Experience with Mazak/Mazatrol/DMG Mori controls.
• Ability to hold tight tolerances on precision components.

Responsibilities

• Guide setup and operation of Mazak and DMG Mori multi-axis turn-mill centers and CNC lathes.
• Support robot-integrated turn-mill systems to improve productivity and safety.
• Operate horizontal machining centers with pallet pool systems for efficient production flow.
• Complete tooling setup, offsets, fixture alignment and machine adjustments.
• Monitor machining performance and adjust processes for quality and cycle time.
• Set expectations for safety, 5S, schedule compliance, output and resource use.
• Coach team members on standard work, troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
