Job summary

Quantum Precision Inc. in West Chicago, IL is hiring two experienced CNC Swiss Programmer / Setup Machinists to take complex parts from print through first article and into stable production.

You will program and fully set up Citizen or Tsugami CNC Swiss machines, select tooling and offsets, and work with Engineering, Quality, and Production to launch new work. Substantial overtime is available and the team values hands-on problem solving.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience programming and fully setting up CNC Swiss machines (from print to production).
• Experience with Citizen or Tsugami CNC Swiss equipment.
• Able to take a new part from print to production with minimal supervision.
• Strong knowledge of Swiss tooling, collets, guide bushings, speeds/feeds, offsets.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T.
• Experience performing first-article inspections and maintaining tight tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Take new Swiss jobs from print through programming, setup, prove-out, first article, and stable production.
• Program and fully set up Citizen or Tsugami CNC Swiss machines.
• Interpret drawings, specifications, GD&T, and inspection requirements.
• Select tooling, collets, guide bushings, and setup components.
• Establish speeds, feeds, offsets, and cutting conditions.
• Troubleshoot programs, tooling, dimensions, and process variation independently.
• Create and maintain programs and tooling documentation.
• Work with Engineering, Quality, and Production on launching new work.
