Job summary

RTCA in Chatsworth, CA is seeking a hands-on CNC Supervisor for swing shift to lead machinists and coordinate daily production on multi‑axis mills and lathes, including Swiss, EDM, and manual operations as needed.

You will mentor operators, enforce GD&T and quality standards, and collaborate with Engineering, Quality and Production Management to ensure prints are met and processes optimized.

Qualifications

• Five+ years hands-on CNC machining experience with multi-axis mills/lathe setups.
• Demonstrated leadership in production/manufacturing; ability to coach and motivate.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (Global Shop or JobBoss preferred) for work order tracking.
• Knowledge of GD&T and interpreting aerospace blueprints.
• Proficiency with standard inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor machinists and operators on shift to meet daily production goals.
• Oversee setup, operation, and troubleshooting of CNC milling/turning equipment (3–5 axis) and related processes.
• Coordinate with Engineering and Programming to interpret prints and setup instructions.
• Ensure parts meet print specs and tolerance using proper inspection methods.
• Maintain shop organization, safety, and inventory; support ERP reporting and shift handoffs.
