Job summary

Qualdoc in Cocoa Beach, FL is seeking a CNC Machine Operator to operate and maintain equipment used in structural steel fabrication. You will run CNC plasma tables or saw/drill/cut operations on steel and ensure part measurements align with drawings.

Experience with Kinetic Plasma Table, Peddinghaus lines, or Ficep Beamline is a plus; candidate must read tapes, blueprints, and symbols, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a hot or cold shop environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating a CNC plasma table or performing sawing, drilling, or cutting.
• Ability to read blueprints, symbols, and technical notes.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately within 1/16 inch.
• Basic math skills.
• Experience safely operating overhead cranes and material transfer/conveyor systems.
• Ability to lift and handle materials up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Comfortable standing for extended periods in a hot or cold shop environment.
• Tekla PowerFab experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machinery using the appropriate settings for each job.
• Measure and inspect materials to ensure they meet design specifications.
• Identify and select the correct material type, stock size, and dimensions.
• Mark materials with the required job and production information.
• Maintain accurate records of daily production and material usage.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and assist with troubleshooting equipment problems.
• Follow workplace safety practices and keep the work area clean and organized.
