Qualdoc in York, PA is seeking an experienced CNC Press Brake Operator for the 2nd shift to set up and run CNC press brake equipment and related metal fabrication machinery. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of CNC operation experience in heavy manufacturing, strong mechanical skills, and a detail-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Hands-on CNC press brake experience.
• High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school education is a plus.
• At least 2 years of CNC machine operation experience, preferably in structural steel fabrication or heavy manufacturing.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, shop drawings, and fabrication specifications.
• Experience using precision measuring tools, including tape measures, calipers, and squares.
• Familiarity with overhead cranes, forklifts, and rigging equipment preferred.
• Strong mechanical and problem-solving abilities with close attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and collaborate with others in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC press brake equipment and other metal fabrication machinery.
• Review blueprints, fabrication drawings, and work orders to understand production requirements.
• Position and secure steel beams, plates, and other materials using overhead cranes and appropriate rigging equipment.
• Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain accuracy and product quality.
• Measure completed work using tape measures, calipers, squares, and other precision instruments.
• Make basic programming changes and machine adjustments based on material dimensions and thickness.
• Complete routine equipment checks, basic maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Follow shop safety procedures and maintain an organized work area in accordance with OSHA guidelines.
