Job summary

CoorsTek is looking for a CNC Set-up II to perform multi-axis machine set-up and operation. You will load preset programs, adjust tooling and parameters, and create simple programs to ensure accepted product per drawings and quality requirements.

You will also support training of junior staff and contribute to process improvements. The role requires 2+ years CNC manufacturing experience, with 3 years preferred, and a focus on accuracy, safety, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
• Vocational or technical certification preferred
• Understanding and editing CNC programs and creating simple programs as needed
• Read and interpret technical drawings, GD&T requirements and work instructions
• Intermediate math and computer skills; CAD/CAM outputs support set-up and adjustments
• Proficient in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and SPC

Responsibilities

• Set up multi-axis CNC machines and load preset programs
• Make approved adjustments to programs, offsets, tooling and parameters
• Read drawings/blueprints and determine tooling and inspection needs
• Perform in-process inspection and record results
• Troubleshoot setup, tooling and machining issues; escalate as needed
• Assist in training junior CNC Set-up personnel
