Job summary

Watts Water Technologies in Franklin, NH is seeking a CNC Setup Operator for the 2nd shift to set up CNC lathes and milling machines, install tooling and fixtures, verify offsets, and support operators for accurate part production.

The role requires blueprint interpretation, precision measurement skills, and teamwork with QA and maintenance to ensure quality and continuous improvement. On-site manufacturing environment with 2:30 pm–11:00 pm shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience setting up CNC lathes and/or CNC milling machines.
• Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, height gauges, thread gauges.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical documents.
• Basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC lathes, mills, and related equipment based on blueprints, job specifications, and setup sheets.
• Install and adjust tooling, fixtures, collets, and work-holding devices.
• Set and verify work offsets, tool offsets, and machine parameters.
• Perform first-piece inspections in coordination with Quality Assurance.
• Troubleshoot issues related to tooling wear, fixtures, offsets, and machine operation.
• Support CNC operators with machine adjustments and quality checks.
• Ensure machines run consistently following setup completion.
• Document setup information, quality checks, and production notes.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
