Watts is seeking a CNC Setup Operator to prepare lathes and milling machines for production at our Franklin, NH facility. You will set up tooling, verify offsets, perform first-piece inspections with QA, and support operators to maintain consistent part quality.

Required are a high school diploma or GED, experience with CNC setups, and proficiency with precision measuring tools. Safety compliance and continuous improvement focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
• Experience setting up CNC lathes and/or CNC milling machines.
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools.
• Familiarity with safety standards and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC lathes, mills, and related equipment per specifications.
• Install/adjust tooling, fixtures, and work-holding devices.
• Verify work offsets, tool offsets, and machine parameters.
• Perform first-piece inspections with Quality Assurance.
• Troubleshoot tooling wear, fixtures, offsets, and machine issues.
• Support CNC operators with adjustments and quality checks.
• Document setup info and production notes.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
