Job summary

MacLean-Fogg is seeking a CNC Setup & Optimization Specialist to own end-to-end CNC set-ups, perform program tweaks, and conduct quality checks on the Mooresville, NC shop floor.

This on-site, 2nd shift role requires 2–5 years of CNC machining experience, a knack for troubleshooting, reading blueprints, and precise measurement using gages; you will mentor juniors and drive continuous improvement while maintaining audit-ready cells.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of CNC machining experience in a similar setting.
• Comfort operating with minimal oversight.
• Diagnosing and correcting complex machine/process issues.
• Reading blueprints/specs and following work instructions.
• Intermediate math and strong written/verbal communication.
• Proficiency with measurement and gaging tools.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end CNC set-ups and operations to hit throughput and quality targets.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and programming adjustments to boost machine performance.
• Interpret drawings, engineering specifications, and work instructions with confidence.
• Execute in-process inspections using required gaging and record results accurately.
• Keep cell audit-ready through 5S and safety, environmental, and quality systems.
• Champion continuous improvement and mentor junior team members.
