Qualifications

• Ability to interpret drawings, blueprints, and instructions to setup and operate CNC equipment.
• Familiar with M & G Codes and how to edit programs.
• Ability to verify parts using quality measuring devices.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings and determine sequence of operations and setup requirements.
• Select and secure fixtures, tools, and materials on machines; verify functionality.
• Set controls for speed, feed, coolant flow, depth, and angles for machining.
• Input or retrieve correct program code from machine and network.
• Perform first piece inspections and in-process QC using measuring tools.
• Make minor edits to existing programs under supervision.
• Change tooling and offsets to meet tolerances and specs.
• Maintain machines and complete necessary paperwork (routing sheets, timesheets).
• Coordinate with supervisors and engineers to resolve machining issues.
• Maintain production levels according to standards and follow safety policies.
