Qualifications

• Two years of CNC operations and Swiss-style machining experience.
• Proficient in basic CNC setup, offsets and tool changes.
• Strong blueprint reading with GD&T symbols.
• Skilled with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges).
• Understanding of speeds/feeds and material properties.
• Familiarity with safety standards in machining environments.

Responsibilities

• Review blueprints to determine setup procedures, tooling and stock.
• Select tooling and install on the machine.
• Set guide bushings, collets and load bar feeders with minimal supervision.
• Load and edit machine programs as needed.
• Run trials and check conformance using gauges and micrometers.
• Adjust machines to meet tolerances.
• Read blueprints and use precision measuring devices.
• Suggest program or tool changes to resolve production problems.
• Fabricate tools/attachments if not in stock; maintain form tools.
• Maintain form tool sharpening and upkeep.
• May train in other departments when required.
