Job summary

Wabtec Corporation is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to set up and operate multiple machine types, including VMCs, HMCs, Break Press and lasers, ensuring tight tolerances and quality. You will interpret blueprints, study GD&T, and verify part accuracy with micrometers and calipers.

Responsibilities include editing programs, loading tools, performing preventive maintenance, and maintaining records. A two-year degree or equivalent and strong problem-solving and leadership abilities are

Qualifications

• Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent, or two to four years related experience.
• Basic understanding of blueprint reading and GD&T; leadership and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with CNC equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, and workpiece fixtures.
• Edit and verify programs for mills, lathes, lasers, and robotic welders; set zero references and offsets.
• Maintain equipment and perform daily preventive maintenance; ensure quality standards.
• Measure and verify with micrometers and calipers; troubleshoot malfunctions.
