Job summary

Momentum Manufacturing Group, LLC seeks a skilled CNC Mill Machine Operator Set Up to perform full setup, operation, and first-article verification on horizontal, vertical, and 5-axis milling centers. You will work from engineering drawings, CAM programs, and setup sheets to ensure parts meet print, cycle time, and quality targets.

The role emphasizes machine setup and training other machinists, within an aerospace/defense environment governed by AS9100 quality and CMMC cybersecurity policies.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma or technical machining program background.
• Minimum 3 years CNC milling setup experience in production environment.
• Proficient in setting up and editing programs on Okuma, Haas, or Fanuc controls.
• Strong reading of engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Experience with precision measurement tools and first article inspection.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute machine setups from drawings and CAM docs.
• Coordinate with engineering on NPI for new parts.
• Select, mount, and load cutting tools and fixtures with proper offsets.
• Verify coordinates, tool lengths, and offsets on multiple controllers.
• Edit G-code/M-code to optimize toolpaths and cycles.
• Support 5-axis setups and multi-axis machines when needed.
• Perform first piece inspection and uphold AS9100 requirements.
