Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator to work onsite in Elgin, IL. The role involves setting up CNC machines, loading steel, and inspecting finished parts to ensure precision. You will convert measurements from decimals to fractions and use inspection tools to verify tolerances.

The position is contract to hire, with pay between $18.00 and $20.00 per hour and full onsite work environment. Benefits, bonuses, and a 401(k) plan are provided after conversion.

• Skill in using calipers and tape measures.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machinery.
• Set up machines according to work orders and load steel materials using a lift-assisted crane.
• Inspect finished products using tape measures, micrometers, and calipers.
• Adjust materials on the machine to ensure correct dimensions before cutting or grinding.
• Convert decimals to fractions using a calculator for accurate measurements.
