Job summary

Express Employment Professionals in Elgin, IL is seeking an experienced CNC Setup person to set up, operate, troubleshoot, and optimize a variety of CNC machining equipment used in producing precision components.

The role collaborates with engineering and production teams to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency, with a Monday through Friday schedule, 7:00am to 3:30pm, and a $24.00-$32.00 per hour pay rate DOE.

Qualifications

• 4+ years CNC setup and operation, preferably with Fanuc controls.
• Experience with CNC lathes, mills, laser cutters, brakes, routers.
• Ability to read blueprints and use micrometers, gauges, comparators.
• Experience machining stainless steel and non-ferrous materials; CAD/CAM a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Mori Seiki, Takisawa, and Hyundai CNC lathes per blueprints.
• Set up/run Takumi and Hurco mills, Bridgeport mills, Mega Gundrilling.
• Operate press brakes (Bystronic/Amada) and laser cutters.
• Use CNC routers and Hydmech saws for material processing.
• Perform tooling changes, program edits, and first-piece inspections.
