Job summary

CoorsTek is seeking a CNC Set-Up Specialist in Golden, CO to load, adjust and create complex CNC programs and operate manufacturing machinery to produce quality parts. You will read drawings, inspect parts, and perform maintenance while training new setters. A strong focus on safety and teamwork is essential.

The role requires CNC experience, CAD/CAM knowledge, GD&T proficiency, and the ability to work from technical drawings, with a commitment to quality and process improvement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Vocational or technical certification preferred.
• Three (3) years relevant CNC experience; Five (5) years CNC experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings/blueprints.
• Knowledge of CAD/CAM programs and G & M codes; GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex, multi-axis CNC setup by downloading/adjusting programs or creating complex new programs.
• Operate CNC equipment to produce acceptable product per work instructions.
• Read and interpret technical drawings for setup and production methods.
• Inspect parts for defects and adjust program or notify when deviations occur.
• Perform machine adjustments such as offsets or tapers; basic preventative maintenance.
• Train incoming CNC Set-up personnel and maintain clean work area.
