Join The Gund Company as a CNC Operator II on 2nd shift (1:30 PM–10:00 PM) in Walnut, CA. You will set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and centers to produce precision components and ensure quality. The role emphasizes mentorship, safety, and continuous improvement in a collaborative manufacturing environment.

Starting pay is $25.41+ per hour based on experience with a 15% shift differential. Experience reading blueprints and using precision measurement tools is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CNC machining or manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Basic to intermediate math skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and machining centers.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
• Load materials and secure workpieces for machining.
• Perform inspections using calipers, gauges, and precision measuring tools.
• Verify part quality and ensure specifications are met.
• Complete production records and work order documentation.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and housekeeping.
• Support team members and assist with operator training.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment.

What You Bring

• Experience using precision measuring equipment

• Basic to intermediate math skills
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
• Flexibility to work overtime when needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Manufacturing or machining experience in a production environment
• Technical, vocational, or trade school training
• 5 Axis machine experience, including set-up and operation
• Haas, Doosan hands-on experience
