Job summary

MUM Industries is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist in Mentor, OH for a full-time position. You will set up and operate HAAS CNC milling machines, read blueprints, and use calipers to ensure quality. Maintain a safe, organized work area and document inspections.

Starting pay ranges from $20.00 to $23.00 per hour based on experience, with day shifts and a Monday–Thursday schedule. Requires a High School diploma or technical training and at least 2 years of CNC milling experience.

Qualifications

• Must have 2 years of experience setting up CNC Milling HAAS machines.
• Must have 2 years of experience operating CNC Milling HAAS machines.
• Must have 2 years of experience using calipers.
• Must have knowledge of blueprint reading.

Responsibilities

• Perform CNC milling operations and setup.
• Detect and report defective materials to Machining Supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety procedures.
• Read drawings, follow routers, and perform basic measurements.

Hours: Monday through Thursday 2:00pm-12:30am

Starting pay is $20.00/HR-23.00/HR based upon experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform typical machine shop operations including accurate and efficient CNC set up.
• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to Machining Supervisor.
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures.
• Must be able to perform, but not limited to, the following tasks: grinding, drilling, milling, tapping, de-burring, sawing and sanding.
• Perform inspection of machined products (including documentation of results).
• Complete and maintain paperwork for parts.
• Must be able to read and interpret drawings, follow routers, use simple math to perform basic calculations, and use basic hand held measuring tools.
• Must have working command of the English language, and be able to communicate orally (Basic oral instructions.)
• Perform any and all other duties as assigned.
• Reports directly to the Machining Supervisor.
