Job summary

100Hires, Inc. is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to set up and operate HAAS milling machines in a busy shop in Mentor, Ohio. You will perform tool changes, run cycles, and ensure parts meet spec while maintaining documentation and quality control.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or technical training, 2+ years on HAAS CNC mills, and proficiency with calipers and blueprint interpretation. On-site role with hands-on production duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; technical school is a plus.
• 2 years of experience setting up CNC Milling HAAS machines.
• 2 years of experience operating CNC Milling HAAS machines.
• 2 years of experience using calipers.
• Knowledge of blueprint reading and interpreting drawings.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Milling HAAS machines with precision.
• Perform grinding, drilling, milling, tapping, deburring, sawing, and sanding as required.
• Inspect machined parts and document results.
• Read drawings, follow routers, and perform basic calculations with basic hand tools.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and proper paperwork; report to Machining Supervisor.

Job description

Responsibilities below:Perform typical machine shop operations including accurate and efficient CNC set up.Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to Machining Supervisor.Maintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures.Must be able to perform, but not limited to, the following tasks: grinding, drilling, milling, tapping, de-burring, sawing and sanding.Perform inspection of machined products (including documentation of results).Complete and maintain paperwork for parts.Must be able to read and interpret drawings, follow routers, use simple math to perform basic calculations, and use basic hand held measuring tools.Must have working command of the English language, and be able to communicate orally (Basic oral instructions.)Perform any and all other duties as assigned.Reports directly to the Machining Supervisor.Qualifications:High School Diploma or graduation from certified technical school or equivalent experience.Must have 2 years of experience setting up CNC Milling HAAS machines.Must have 2 years of experience operating CNC Milling HAAS machines.Must have 2 years of experience using calipers.Must have knowledge of using blueprint reading.You should be proficient in:CNC Machine Setup & ChangeoverMachines & technologies you'll use:CNC Mill (3-4 axis VMC)
