Job summary

100Hires, Inc. is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to set up and run HMC and VMC machines, interpret drawings, and ensure parts meet tight tolerances. You will monitor operations, inspect with precision tools, and adjust processes based on CMM reports.

A focus on safety, 5S, and adherence to MIOSHA standards is required. The ideal candidate has 5+ years on 3/4/5 axis Makino systems, knowledge of CAD/CAM software, and proficiency with G-code.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience setting up 3 axis, 4 axis and 5 axis HMC CNC machines (Makino machines setup knowledge preferred).
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM software preferred.
• Experience with CNC machine operation and G-code programming.
• Knowledge of cutting tools, inserts, speed, feed and cutting speed terminology.
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measurement tools.
• Basic math and geometry for part dimensions / computer knowledge.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to follow procedures and work independently.
• Problem-solving and mechanical aptitude.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIESSet up and operate HMC, VMC CNC machines by installing fixtures, attachments, appropriate cutting tools, and part program to run quality parts. (Makino HMC Machine Experience Preferred)Read and interpret part drawings, geometrical specs, and G-code programsMonitor machine operations and inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, variable and attribute gauges to ensure they meet specifications.
