Job summary

Atlas Fibre in Northbrook, IL is hiring a CNC Saw Setup & Operator to cut high‑performance plastics and composites. You will independently set up and operate CNC and industrial saws while maintaining precise dimensions and material quality.

You will verify materials, read specifications, adjust settings for accuracy, and keep accurate production records in a safety‑minded, full‑time role located at 3411 Woodhead Drive, Northbrook, IL 60062.

Qualifications

• Experience setting up and operating CNC or industrial saws.
• Ability to read blueprints and cut specifications.
• Experience using measuring instruments and maintaining tolerances.
• Strong mechanical ability and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and industrial saws.
• Select and install blades, tooling, and fixtures.
• Adjust machine settings per job and read blueprints/work orders.
• Verify material type, dimensions, and quantities.
• Inspect finished pieces with calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
• Move sheets, rods, tubes, and other materials safely.
• Complete production paperwork and keep area organized.
