Job summary

Canopy A&D is seeking a skilled machinist for our Ontario, CA facility. You will set up and operate machines, interpret blueprints and CNC programs, load tools, and prep materials for cutting, ensuring parts meet specifications.

The role requires 2+ years in a related area, proficiency in shop math, and strong English communication. Expect a full-time, onsite schedule with comprehensive benefits and competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
• Proficient in standard shop math.
• Able to communicate effectively in English (oral and written).
• Willingness to learn and perform cross-functional operations.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a related area.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machines per work orders, blueprints, and specifications.
• Interpret CNC programs, tool lists, job routings, and in-process quality instructions.
• Load tool holders, tools and fixtures into machines.
• Prep material for cutting; determine tooling and feed rates.
• Run programs, take measurements, and adjust for quality.
• Inspect parts and ensure conformance; maintain clean work area.
• Support 5-S and safety guidelines; perform cross-functional tasks.
