Job summary

Hera Technologies, LLC is seeking a highly motivated CNC Router Machinist/Operator to join its team in a hands-on, collaborative environment. You will set up and operate CNC routers, maintain quality, and keep accurate records in a 2pm–11:30pm shift 100% onsite in Cape Canaveral, FL.

The role requires 2+ years in a related area, blueprint reading, and familiarity with Multicam CNC Routers and EnRoute CAD/CAM software. Total compensation includes benefits and a comprehensive package.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years in a related area.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and work orders.
  • Familiarity with cutting tools and shop math.
  • Ability to use measuring tools and communicate in English.
  • Willingness to learn cross-functional operations.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC routers to produce parts per orders and drawings.
  • Interpret CNC programs, tool lists, routing, and quality instructions.
  • Load tooling and fixtures; stage materials for cutting.
  • Determine tooling and feed rates for materials and jobs.
  • Ensure proper cooling of workpieces and tooling.
  • Run programs, take measurements, adjust for quality.
  • Modify programs to address issues and deburr parts.
  • Inspect first runs and subsequent pieces for conformance.
  • Keep work area clean and organized; support 5S and safety rules.
  • Perform cross-functional operations as needed.

Job Summary

Hera Technologies, LLC (the “Company”) is seeking a highly motivated CNC Router Machinist/Operator to join its team working in a hands‑on, collaborative environment. The candidate must be familiar with a manufacturing environment, have working computer knowledge and be a self‑starter who pays attention to detail and accuracy and takes responsibility for his/her work. The successful candidate will produce machined parts by setting up and operating CNC routers, maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping accurate records, maintaining equipment, and other duties as assigned.

FLSA Classification: Hourly Non-Exempt

Type: Full-time

Schedule: 2pm‑11:30pm

Salary Range: $21 to $30 USD per hour

Reports to: Lead of CNC Router and Laser Department

Location: 100% onsite at 350 Imperial Blvd. Cape Canaveral, FL 32920 USA

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate machines to produce parts using work orders, blueprints, material lists, and specifications
  • Interpret job instructions such as CNC programs, tool list, job routing, part drawings and in-process quality instructions
  • Locate the appropriate tool holders, tools, and fixtures and load them into the machine
  • Stage and prep material for cutting
  • Determine proper tooling and feed rates per material/job
  • Ensure that the workpiece and tools are properly cooled
  • Run the program, take measurements, and make any adjustments necessary to produce quality parts
  • Modify programs in response to problems
  • Clean/deburr parts before transfer to next department
  • Inspect first run pieces and check succeeding pieces for conformance to specifications
  • Keep the work area clean and organized
  • Support 5‑S and adhere to health, safety, and environmental company guidelines
  • Perform cross-functional operations
Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education diploma (GED).
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a related area
  • Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, drawings, and work orders
  • Knowledge of a variety of cutting tools
  • Ability to work with shop math
  • Ability to use standard measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers)
  • Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written English
  • Ability and willingness to learn to perform cross‑functional operations
Preferred Requirements
  • Experience with machining of metallics, composites, and plastics
  • Experience with Multicam CNC Routers
  • Experience with EnRoute CAD/CAM Software
Work Authorization
  • Must be authorized to work in the US
  • Must be willing to undergo a criminal background check
  • Must be able to pass a physical examination, including a drug and alcohol test
Work Environment

Machinists spend most of the day on their feet and must follow strict safety rules. They wear safety glasses to protect their eyes from airborne debris. Loud noise from machinery requires use of hearing protectors. They wear hard‑toe shoes or boots to protect their feet from potentially dropped objects.

Physical Demands

Use their hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Stand for long periods of time. Repeat the same movements. Bend or twist their body. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case‑by‑case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job‑related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
