Job summary

Canopy A&D in Ontario, CA is seeking a CNC Router Machinist/Operator to set up and run Multicam CNC routers, producing precision parts in a hands-on, team-focused environment.

You will read blueprints, prepare tooling, verify tolerances with micrometers, and maintain safety and quality standards while supporting cross-functional operations. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate machines to produce parts using orders, blueprints, and specs.
  • Interpret CNC programs, tool lists, and in-process instructions.
  • Load tools/fixtures and prep materials for cutting.
  • Determine tooling and feed rates per material/job.
  • Ensure cooling of workpieces and tools; monitor quality.
  • Run programs, take measurements, and adjust as needed.
  • Modify programs to resolve issues and improve output.
  • Deburr and clean parts before transfer to next department.
  • Inspect first run and subsequent pieces for conformance.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area; support 5-S.

Hera Technologies, LLC (the "Company") is seeking a highly motivated CNC Router Machinist/Operator to join its team working in a hands-on, collaborative environment. The candidate must be familiar with a manufacturing environment, have working computer knowledge and be a self-starter who pays attention to detail and accuracy and take responsibility for his/her work. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing machined parts by setting up and operating CNC routers, maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping accurate records, maintaining equipment and other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibiliites
  • Set up and operate machines to produce parts by using work orders, blueprints, material lists, and specifications
  • Interprets job instructions such as CNC programs, tool list, job routing, part drawings and in-process quality instructions
  • Locates the appropriate tool holders, tools, and fixtures and loads them into the machine
  • Staging and prepping of material for cutting
  • Determines proper tooling and feed rates per material/Job
  • Ensures that the work piece and tools are properly cooled
  • Runs the program, takes measurements, and makes any adjustments necessary to produce quality parts
  • Modifies programs in response to problems
  • Cleans/deburrs parts before transfer to next department
  • Inspects first run piece and checks succeeding pieces for conformance to specifications
  • Keeping work area clean and organized
  • Support 5-S and adhere to health, safety and environmental company guidelines
  • Perform cross-functional operations
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or general education diploma (GED)
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in related area
  • Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, drawings and work orders
  • Knowledge of a variety of cutting tools
  • Ability to work with shop math
  • Ability to use standard measuring tools (i.e. micrometers, calipers)
  • Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written English
  • Ability to learn to perform cross-functional operations
  • Willingness to learn
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with machining of metallics, composites, and plastics
  • Experience with Multicam CNC Routers
  • Experience with EnRoute CAD/CAM Software
Additional Requirements
  • Must have professional working proficiency reading, writing, and speaking English
  • Work environment: Machinists spend most of the day on their feet and must follow strict safety rules. They wear safety glasses to protect their eyes from airborne debris. Loud noise from machinery requires use of hearing protectors. They wear hard toe shoes or boots to protect their feet from potentially dropped objects
  • Physical demands: Use their hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Stand for long periods of time. Repeat the same movements. Bend or twist their body. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift/or move up to 50 pounds
Job Details

FLSA Classification: Hourly Non-Exempt

Type: Full-time

Hourly Pay Range: $20 to $24

Schedule: 1nd shift- Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm. OT and weekend work may be necessary based on business demands. Hours may be adjusted at the discretion of your supervisor.

Location: 100% onsite at 1055 E. Francis, Ontario, CA 91761

Travel: This role will not typically require travel

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Total compensation will also include a comprehensive set of benefits including but not limited to: Company paid employee medical, dental and vision insurance. 401K company match (eligibility required), paid sick leave, paid vacation, paid holidays and discretionary bonuses.
