Job summary

Essner Manufacturing, based in Fort Worth, TX, seeks experienced Machine Operators to run CNC routers and waterjets on aerospace components. You will set up, program, and monitor machines, ensuring high precision and safety in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 2+ years in manufacturing, familiarity with Mazak/Fadal/Okuma/Haas controllers, and the ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools. ITAR awareness and ERP/MRP familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience as a Machine Operator.
  • Experience with 3, 4 and 5 axis mills.
  • Experience with Mazak, Fadal, Okuma, and Haas controllers.
  • ERP/MRP experience.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate Water Jets and Router to produce aerospace parts.
  • Maintain dimensional accuracy using precision measuring tools.
  • Pull programs from DXF catalog to machine controller.
  • Start and observe machine operation; detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance cuts.
  • Set up and run trials to verify machine settings and data.
  • Adjust feed rates and machine controls as needed.
  • Ensure clean, safe work environment and proper inventory in the work center.
  • Understand cutting speeds, garnet types, and water pressure; read blueprints.

We offer competitive benefits, 401K, PTO, flexible holiday policy and education reimbursement.Reports to:Machine Shop ManagerKey Responsibilities:Ability to set up and operate both Water Jets and Router to produce aerospace partsMaintain dimensional accuracy during the machining process by using precision measuring instruments (pin gauges, mylars, calipers, laser scanning)Make sure the equipment is in top operation performance and alert supervisor of repairs when neededPull programs from DXF catalog to machine controllerStarts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance cutting, and adjusts machine controls or control media as requiredSets up and operates machine/tools on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control dataIndicates X and Y and adjusts indication as necessaryMakes feed rate adjustments.Possesses basic hand trim skills and the ability to ream holes and trim tabsMaintain a safe and clean work environment.Maintain organization of jobs and material inventory in work centerUnderstanding of cutting speeds, garnet types and water pressureAble to perform in a team environmentConsults with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve machining problemsDependable and possesses a strong work ethic with the ability to produce high quality partsPerforms clean-up and maintenance tasksMath Skills – decimals, percentages, fractions, geometry and understanding of Polar and Cartesian Coordinate Systems preferredPerform other duties as assignedBasic Qualification:High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.Minimum two (2) years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.Minimum one (1) years of experience as a Machine Operator.Experience with 3, 4 and 5 axis mills.Experience with Mazak, Fadal, Okuma, and Haas controllers.Experience using different measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, radius gages)High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institutionMinimum one (1) years of experience in a manufacturing environmentMinimum one (1) years of experience as a Router or Waterjet OperatorAbility to carry 50 lbsExperience with Komo and Omax controllersAbility to read and interpret blueprintsBasic program reading skills using MS Windows applications as well as downloading filesFundamental understanding of M and G codesExperience using different measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, radius gages).ERP/ MRP experienceThis position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.
