American Axle & Manufacturing Inc is seeking an Industrial Automation Electrician to install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical and control systems for CNC machines, robots, and automated lines in a high-volume Detroit area facility.

You will handle 480V systems, PLCs, servo drives, sensors, and safety interlocks, perform preventive maintenance, read schematics, and collaborate with engineering teams; starting wage is $42 per hour with shift premiums up to $48.

Qualificações

• Requires 4+ years industrial electrical experience with CNC/robotics.
• Journeyman card or equivalent certification required.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and ladder logic.
• Able to work overtime and any shift per union agreement.
• Experience with PLC programming/troubleshooting.

Responsabilidades

• Troubleshoot electrical and control issues on CNC machines, robots, and automated systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on servo motors, VFDs, sensors, and safety devices.
• Read and modify schematics and ladder diagrams for repairs and upgrades.
• Install and test control panels, field devices, and networking cabling.
• Support integration of robotics with CNC systems and safety systems.
• Collaborate with technicians during startups and root-cause analysis.
• Maintain CMMS records and generate reports for continuous improvement.
