Penn Manufacturing Industries (PMI Group) is a rapidly growing AS 9100 certified global provider of complex CNC machined parts and electro-mechanical assemblies to the Semiconductor Equipment and Aerospace industry. This position is for the Montgomeryville PA USA location.

PMI Group is looking for an experienced CNC Machining Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer who will be responsible for quoting new business for customers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years preparing accurate estimate reports for CNC machining customers.
• 3-5 years CNC precision machining or manufacturing engineering experience.
• GD&T interpretation and blueprint reading.
• Experience with Lean tools (SMED, cellular manufacturing) is desired.
• ERP familiarity and MS Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Create accurate cost estimates for labor, material, and outside processing.
• Calculate production costs using standard labor rates and price estimates.
• Analyze BOMs and price hardware and items.
• Coordinate with supply chain for raw materials and services.
• Support operations with process improvements on the shop floor.
• Monitor submitted quotes and follow up.
• Coordinate product planning and launch for new business.
• Collaborate with Purchasing on quote-supported items.
• Serve as primary customer contact for RFQs and quotes.
• Develop and maintain customer relationships.
• Review customer PO terms and negotiate when appropriate.
• Manage customer specifications library.
