Job summary

Impulse Space in Redondo Beach seeks a Programming Specialist to lead CNC programming and machining operations across 3‑ and 5‑axis machines, partnering with engineers and shop staff to optimize programs and procedures.

You will work with CAM software (HSM Works, Fusion 360, ESPRIT, Hypermill) and interface with controls from Siemens, Heidenhain, Okuma OSP and Fanuc, while mentoring teammates and driving manufacturability improvements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years CNC programming experience with CAM packages.
• Experience on 5-axis mills and live tooling lathes.
• Hands-on with manual CNC mills/lathes and rapid CAM software learning.
• Strong attention to detail and fast-paced execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead CNC programming and machining operations for 3‑ and 5‑axis machines.
• Collaborate with engineering, machinists, and operations to optimize programs.
• Work with CAM software and machine controls to deliver parts efficiently.
• Mentor teammates and suggest manufacturability improvements.
• Set up fixtures and tooling to enable rapid part production.
