Job summary

Precinmac is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer/Toolmaker to design, program, and build tooling for production on CNC machines. You will develop fixtures that optimize machining efficiency, collaborate with engineers, and ensure accuracy in all setups and programs.

Role requires CAM/CAD expertise, strong reading of blueprints, and a disciplined approach to tooling management and process improvements. Manufacturing environment with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of machining experience with at least 1 year of programming (CAD/CAM).
• Strong blueprint reading, math, and numerical aptitude for precision work.
• Technical degree or certifications in a relevant field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, design, and manufacture fixturing to meet production schedules and optimize machining processes.
• Collaborate with engineers and programmers to support department objectives.
• Edit and adjust programs to support production operations.
• Maintain backups of final programs and fixture designs after each job.
• Prepare tool lists and coordinate with the tool crib for availability.
• Order cutting tools and maintain tooling records as needed.
• Coordinate with Engineering and CNC Milling Manager to resolve process issues.
• Supervise floor operators as directed by the CNC Milling Manager.
• Assist with machine setups and perform setups when necessary.
• Troubleshoot setup, programming, and tooling issues to minimize disruptions.
