Job summary

Plastipak in Jackson Center, OH is seeking a CNC Programmer to set up and operate CNC milling machines, manual lathes, and grinders to produce tooling for plastic containers. You will study blueprints, adjust feeds and speeds, and document tooling processes on the shop floor.

With 1+ years of CNC experience and foundational 3-axis programming, you will collaborate with designers to ensure manufacturability and maintain a safe, efficient work environment while pursuing ongoing skill development.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of CNC machining experience required.
• Technical training in precision machining preferred.
• Foundational understanding of 3-axis programming desired.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage timelines independently.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines, manual lathes, and grinders.
• Study blueprints and product designs to determine materials and tooling.
• Monitor feed and speeds; adjust as necessary.
• Calculate dimensions and tolerances using math and measuring instruments.
• Create setup sheets, tooling sheets, and process documentation.
• Develop CNC programs using MasterCam.
• Collaborate with designers to verify manufacturability and conformance.
• Contribute to a safe, positive shop environment.
