Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies in Michigan is seeking a skilled machinist to program and set up machines, develop routing documentation, and create machine code using Bob Cad, Vericut, and Solidworks. You will trouble shoot programs and machining problems, and work with peers to maintain production schedules.

This role emphasizes following SOPs, maintaining tool inventory, and inspecting parts and tooling.

Qualifications

• Develop project documentation (Routing) and machine code.
• Troubleshoot programs and machining problems, advise as necessary.
• Work with peers to maintain production schedules.
• Document and maintain tool inventory.
• Work with management to develop best practices, continuous improvement activities, work holding and tooling.

Responsibilities

• Set Up machining centers according to standard work instructions (Routing).
• Use best practice and SOP as trained.
• Produce in tolerance set up pieces.
• Follow TMDR procedure when changes are required.
• Build / tear down tooling as needed.
• Inspect tooling for wear and advise supervision as necessary.
• Load parts on machine according to standard work instructions.
• Inspect parts according to standard work instructions.
• Use in-process inspection methods to verify non-conforming material.
• Stop machine and notify supervisor when non-conforming material is detected.
