Job summary

TCLAD is seeking an experienced CNC operator to program, setup, and run a range of CNC equipment including laser, drill/routing machines, turret presses, and VMCs. You will follow work instructions, setup sheets, blueprints, and process travelers while supporting toolmaker functions as needed.

Key requirements include CAM/CNC programming understanding (Mastercam helpful), blueprint reading, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

Associates degree or technical certificate in machine tool or CNC programming; 1 year related experience.
Ability to read and understand blueprints and process travelers; perform complex calculations.
Familiar with CAM/CNC programming; Mastercam experience helpful.
Good organizational skills and attention to detail; able to work independently.
Knowledge of safety regulations relevant to the job.

Responsibilities

Program, setup, and operate CNC laser, drill, routing machines, turret presses, and CNC centers.
Establish part-specific programs including definition of process and machine settings.
Write and maintain setup sheets and logs for each part number.
Verify product quality through optical and mechanical measuring devices.
Monitor machine and process to ensure operation within spec limits.
Maintain workstation cleanliness and perform short-term maintenance.
Provide backup support for the toolmaker function as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
