Job summary

Sign D’ Sign in Bluffton, SC is seeking an experienced CNC Operator/Programmer to program, set up, and operate our CNC routing equipment for custom architectural and commercial signage.

The ideal candidate will read production drawings, select tooling, and optimize feeds and speeds while ensuring quality. This hands-on role requires attention to detail and the ability to take a project from file to finished component.

Qualifications

• Previous CNC router or CNC machining experience.
• Experience programming CNC equipment, not simply operating pre-programmed jobs.
• Experience with CAD/CAM, CNC routing, nesting, and toolpath software.
• Strong understanding of measurements, fractions, decimals, and basic shop math.
• Ability to read production drawings and specifications.
• Experience selecting tooling and adjusting feeds and speeds based on material.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
• Ability to work accurately with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.
• Ability to safely lift and maneuver sheet materials and fabricated components.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC routing equipment to produce signage.
• Take a project from a production file through finished CNC components.
• Review drawings, understand material, determine tooling and cutting strategy, verify dimensions.
• Inspect finished product before sending to the next department.
