Job summary

SPX is seeking a Production Programmer (Machine Shop) in Madison, AL to create and modify CNC programs for various machining operations. You will review 3D CAD models, determine processes, and calculate tooling and material requirements while coordinating with engineers and operators.

The role requires 3+ years of production programming experience, proficiency in G and M codes, and GD&T interpretation. Strong teamwork and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years Production Programmer (Machine Shop) experience.
• Ability to create programs in G and M codes.
• Ability to read and interpret GD&T.
• Ability to understand and execute verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Create instructions and setup sheets for operators.
• Write CNC programs for machining operations using CAD/CAM software.
• Review 3D CAD models and blueprints to determine processes.
• Analyze job orders and perform necessary calculations.
• Determine feeds and speeds; select tooling and sequence operations.
• Collaborate with engineers, machinists, and supervisors to optimize production.
