Job summary

Actalent seeks an Engineering Technician/Programmer in Rogers, MN to program, set up, and operate CNC mills and lathes for high-precision medical components. You will develop Mastercam programs, optimize speeds/feeds, and collaborate with engineers to improve manufacturability in a fast-paced environment.

You will design fixtures, assist with setups, perform maintenance, and conduct first article inspections while mentoring others. Overtime opportunities exist with a permanent onsite role.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a precision manufacturing technician/programmer role.
• Proficiency with MasterCAM and CNC programming.
• Knowledge of G-code and machine setup for maintenance and changeovers.
• Understanding of lean principles and BOM management.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC mills and lathes.
• Develop CNC programs using Mastercam.
• Determine speeds/feeds for plastics, aluminum and stainless steel.
• Collaborate with engineers to optimize manufacturability.
• Design fixtures and jigs for machining and inspection.
• Provide machine setup support and basic maintenance.
• Inspect parts and conduct first article inspections on new setups.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and suggest improvements.
• Communicate with machinists, engineers, and management.
• Cross-train operators on equipment and processes.
