Job summary

Actalent seeks a skilled CNC Programmer in Nashville to develop and maintain CNC programs for production and new product development. You will design tooling, program with Mastercam/SolidWorks/Fusion 360, and aid in process validation.

The role requires 5+ years in CNC machining, CAD/CAM programming, and the ability to read G-Code, with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency. On-site position with full benefits and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CNC machining, tooling, or manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read, write, and troubleshoot CNC G-Code.
• Minimum 3 years of CAD/CAM programming experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and maintain CNC programs for production and new product development.
• Design, fabricate, and implement tooling and fixturing for manufacturing processes.
• Program CNC equipment using Mastercam, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, and other CAD/CAM software.
• Read, edit, and troubleshoot CNC G-Code.
• Support new product introductions through prototype development and process validation.
• Analyze and improve machining processes to increase efficiency, quality, and throughput.
• Create setup instructions, process documentation, quality checks, and changeover procedures.
• Monitor machine capacity, utilization, and performance metrics to identify optimization opportunities.
• Train and develop CNC operators on programming, setups, best practices, and safety procedures.
• Manage tooling inventory, replacement schedules, and preventative maintenance programs.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and technical specifications.
• Operate CNC and manual machining equipment including lathes, mills, and boring machines as needed.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Production, Maintenance, and New Product Development teams.
• Support preventative maintenance and troubleshooting activities on CNC equipment.
• Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and manufacturing standards.
