Job summary

TAIT is seeking a CNC Programmer I to design and optimize programs for CNC machines, using MASTERCAM from solid models and drawings. The role involves maintaining programs on the company server with guidance from senior programmers and cross‑department collaboration to meet production goals.

Ideal candidates will have a mechanical mindset, solid math skills, and experience with AutoCAD, MASTERCAM, and FeatureCAM.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or trade school graduate.
• 1 to 3 years of practical CNC programming experience or 5 plus years of machining experience.
• Proficiency in mathematics and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Understand CNC machine capabilities and program using MASTERCAM from models, drawings, and specifications.
• Perform machining calculations, speeds, feeds; create multi-operation programs as required.
• Read blueprints and develop manufacturing documentation for operators.
